The Promotions Committee champions Downtown Pullman through events, programs, and showcasing assets to engage residents, students, and visitors, fostering commerce, culture, and community.

Projects:

Skills Needed: An interest in program development, event planning, marketing, and communications.

Meetings: 4th Monday of each month | 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. | DPA Office

The Economic Vitality committee bolsters the downtown community by strengthening current businesses, attraction of new businesses, and transformation of underutilized spaces for new uses. This involves identifying resources and tools to support downtown businesses and property owners.

Skills Needed: An interest in economic development, business development, and data analysis.

Meetings: 1st Monday of each month | 4 – 5 p.m. | DPA Office

The Outreach Committee cultivates relationships and opportunities to build a vibrant Downtown Pullman. They develop communications, marketing strategies, and activities to promote the DPA including fundraising, community relations, volunteer recruitment, leadership development and recognition.

  • Onboarding new members
  • Corporate Sponsorships
  • Grants

Skills Needed:

  • An interest in fundraising, volunteer management, and cultivating relationships to strengthen our impact.

Meetings: Last Monday of each month | 4 – 5 p.m. | DPA Office

The Design Committee enhances the beauty of our downtown to both private and public spaces through public art, historic preservation, clean-up, landscaping, street furniture, signage, visual merchandising and lighting. This results in a more welcoming and vibrant community for all.

Projects:

  • Riverside Mural
  • Triangle Alley
  • Wayfinding, lights, landscaping, and other projects that enhance the downtown

Skills Needed: An interest in design, historic preservation, and beautification efforts.
