Meet Willow Falcon, owner of Noshies and Glassphemy Pullman and a dedicated volunteer who has been a driving force behind the Downtown Pullman Association since its very beginning in 2018.

Willow’s journey with the DPA began on the Promotions Committee, and her passion and commitment quickly catapulted her to the role of committee chair. In 2020, she was elected to the Board of Directors, and her leadership abilities became even more evident. Just a year later, in 2021, she took the helm as the President of the Board of Directors, steering the organization through both challenges and triumphs for a remarkable two-year term.

One of Willow’s standout achievements during her tenure was successfully securing a $75,000 grant from the Washington State Department of Archeology and Historic Preservation, through an Affiliate Building Capacity grant application. This funding has had a profound impact on our community and its historic preservation efforts.

Willow also played a pivotal role in bringing on the DPA’s first-ever Executive Director. Her close collaboration and guidance ensured that the new director was well-prepared to lead the organization effectively. She even sourced the perfect downtown office space, fully equipping it for productive meetings and strategic planning sessions.

Her dedication extended to fostering relationships with Washington State University and the City of Pullman, working tirelessly to secure funding for the DPA’s vital initiatives. Additionally, Willow spearheaded the Executive Director search process, demonstrating her knack for talent recruitment and development.

Notably, Willow’s visionary leadership brought about the first-ever Harvest Festival in downtown Pullman during Halloween. Thanks to her efforts, businesses saw increased participation, with hundreds of children trick-or-treating and parents enjoying the vibrant downtown atmosphere. Her creative talents also shone through as she enriched our Holiday Festival by sharing the story of Hanukkah and co-designing the iconic DPA logo, a symbol of community pride.

As President and a devoted Board member, Willow Falcon has played an instrumental role in elevating the profile of the Downtown Pullman Association within our community, the city, and at Washington State University. Her dedication, creativity, and leadership have left an indelible mark, and we’re incredibly grateful for her unwavering commitment.

Join us in applauding Willow for her outstanding contributions and inspiring us all to be active agents of positive change in our beloved Downtown Pullman!
