DOWNTOWN PULLMAN ASSOCIATION SEEKING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SUCCESSOR
August 27, 2024
PULLMAN, Washington — The Downtown Pullman Association is accepting applications to replace outgoing Executive Director Mallory Nash as she assumes the same title with the Downtown Walla Walla Foundation.
Nash has served as executive director of the Downtown Pullman Association (DPA) since July 2023 and will assist the Board of Directors with a transition to her successor in the coming weeks. Applications will be actively reviewed upon receipt and the position will remain open until filled.
“Mallory has contributed greatly to the development of our association, helping to solidify Downtown Pullman’s implementation of the Main Street approach, and we appreciate those contributions as we wish her well in this new venture,” said Judy Kolde, DPA Board of Directors president. “Our board believes 2025 will be a breakthrough year for DPA as we activate our newly renovated downtown and we’re eager to find the next executive director who will maintain the current momentum to create and sustain vitality in our historic downtown.”
A detailed job description for the executive director position, including organizational structure, desired qualifications and compensation, is available on the DPA website. Interested applicants are asked to submit a cover letter, resume with three references, and a brief writing sample via email to president@downtownpullman.org with the subject line, “Downtown Pullman Association ED Application.”
Nash accomplished a number of initiatives during her tenure as executive director aimed at advancing the DPA toward its goal of revitalizing downtown Pullman through implementing the Washington State Main Street Program approach of placemaking in pursuit of becoming a Designated Main Street Community. In support of that effort, Nash helped to secure organizational funding, bolster volunteer involvement, and further community engagement through a variety of downtown events and social media marketing.
“Being part of the Downtown Pullman Association has been a truly rewarding experience,” Nash said. “The people here have been incredibly welcoming and inspiring. While I will miss this community, I am confident that the DPA is in good hands … and am grateful for the progress we’ve made during my time here.”
