FAQ

  1. Is there a cost to attend the Downtown Trick-or-Treat event?
The main event is free to attend, and there are no costs associated with participating in the trick-or-treating activities. However, if you wish to join the Pub Crawl, there is an additional cost for drink tickets. The Pub Crawl allows you to enjoy alcoholic beverages at participating bars and pubs in downtown. Please check the event details for information on how to purchase drink tickets and the cost associated with them.
  2. Is this event only for families and children?
Not at all! While we have plenty of activities for kids, we also offer fun for all ages. Enjoy our spooky-themed pub crawl and show off your best costume in our costume contest.
  3. What is the Teal Pumpkin Project, and how does it work during the event?
The Teal Pumpkin Project is an initiative to support children with food allergies by offering non-food treats during trick-or-treating. At our event, businesses participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project will display a teal pumpkin or sign to indicate they provide non-food treats like small toys or stickers. This helps ensure that all children, including those with allergies, can enjoy a safe and inclusive trick-or-treating experience.
  4. What activities can we expect?
There will be a variety of activities, including trick-or-treating at participating downtown businesses, a costume contest, and a spooky-themed pub crawl for the adults. Check back soon for a detailed list of activities and their timings.
  5. Are there any age restrictions for the pub crawl?
Yes, the pub crawl is for adults aged 21 and over. Please bring a valid ID to participate.
  6. Will there be alcohol?
Alcohol is not permitted at the main event area due to city code (Ord. 07-18 §2, 2007). However, there will be a Pub Crawl as part of the event where you can purchase drink tickets. This special feature will allow you to enjoy alcoholic beverages at participating pubs and bars in downtown. We encourage you to take part in the Pub Crawl and explore the variety of drinks available from local businesses.
  7. Can we bring outside food or beverages?
Outside food and beverages are not permitted. However, there will be plenty of food and drink options available at local businesses participating in the event.
  8. What should we bring to the event?
Feel free to bring your costume, a reusable trick-or-treat bag, and a valid ID if you’re participating in the pub crawl. We also recommend wearing comfortable shoes as there will be a lot of walking.
  9. Are pets allowed to attend the event?
Businesses downtown have individual policies regarding pets, so we recommend leaving your pets at home for this trick-or-treat event. However, if you choose to bring your well-behaved dog, please keep them on a leash and under control while walking around. Be aware that while some businesses may allow pets inside, others may not, so it’s a good idea to check each business’s policy. Please be considerate of others, as any issues with pets may result in you and your dog being asked to leave the event.
  10. How can I get involved or volunteer for the event?
We’d love to have you join us as a volunteer! If you’re interested, we’ll have a signup sheet here soon!
  11. Who can I contact if I have more questions?
